This movie is incredibly bleak, and also unbelievably slow-moving. But the acting is wonderful, and I found myself quite absorbed in the characters, so it's definitely not a complete waste of time.
From an artistic point of view it's well worth seeing once, but it's certainly not one of the most entertaining films I've ever seen.
