This is the kind of thing I normally like and it should have been good. It was, in fact, rubbish. The dialogue was corny, cheesy and occasionally embarrassing, I had no sympathy for the main character who I thought was an idiot or the love interest who I thought was creepy. The only bit that was any good was the bit towards the end when they found themselves unable to cope with the new culture after the war.
The story had great potential too, I just don't quite understand how it got so messed up.
