Although period films are my favorite genre, I didn't think this would be my type of film. Actually, it still isn't, but I definitely enjoyed it much more than I thought I would! I should have known better, considering the fact that the cast includes Ken Watanabe, Michelle Yeoh, Li Gong, and features Ziyi Zhang in the lead role.
This is an a truly great film!
