Review of Memento (1968) by Nicholas P — 21 Jul 2013
Christopher Nolan's Memento is a masterpiece. Nolan puts the viewer in the same position the main character, Leonard, is in. Leonard has short term memory loss which puts more than a few hurdles against him in tracking down his wife's killer.
The movie being played backwards in its colored scenes forces the viewer to have to think out each scene as it unfolds and retain what happened in the previous scene to understand it. Complicated, yes.
Brilliant as well.
