A little tedious. How this guy isn't in a psychiatric hospital is beyond me.
Edit: I just read about a real-life case, a person called H.M. who underwent surgery that removed part of his hippocampus and consequently couldn't form new memories. I still think the protagonist needs to go to a psychiatric hospital rather than fooling around on his own.
