Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Leah F — 26 Jun 2009
More in the style of '80s Allen than the current films, this pair of takes on the same story - an unexpected dinner guest leads to a net of romantic entanglements - is enjoyable, but feels a bit too self-conscious and theatrical at times to truly spark.
Mr. Farrell does a good job, but as usual, it's hard not to picture the director in his place.
