Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Efi R — 26 Jul 2009
1) I think this cemented the fact that I now like Woody Allen whereas I've disliked his work most all of my life.
2) From what I can tell, this film indicates a new stage in Allen's work. This seems to be a transitional film from which his later period drama's spring and his comedies more often involve Allen not acting out his protagonists himself.
In all, this isn't a strong effort but it's not a bad film.
