Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Cesar C — 14 Mar 2010
The narrative conceit is brilliant, and well thought through as always. The rest of it doesn't really matter, because the whole thing exists to explore the idea of interwoven yet separate narratives, but I will express my frustration with Woody's artless direction; a better director would have shifted the tone and style of the two sections at least a little bit, and although it's fun to see every single actor try their own impersonation of Woody's stammering and flailing arms, well, it's not really necessary, let's just say that.
Blah blah blah.
