Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Amanda K — 27 Nov 2010
This was a very interesting concept for a movie. 2 playwrights discuss how they would take a story told to them and make a play. One writes tragedies and the other writes comedies. I do have to say the comedic version of the story is better.
Will Ferrell and Amanda Peet do a great job. Will Ferrell is obviously playing the role Woody Allen would have written for himself. He's pretty much playing Woody Allen and does a great job at it.
In the tragic story it's interesting to see Chloe Sevigny doing something fairly normal and doing it very well. The movie does fall apart a bit at the end, but overall very enjoyable.
