Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Brian B — 27 Nov 2010

Melinda and Melinda really should have been made thirty years ago. The story is actually two different stories, a comedy and a tragedy. At a meeting for dinner, two playwrites, one who writes comedies and one who writes tragedies are given a very simple plot outline.

Both of them then come up with their seperate stories which are shown to us. This movie would have been much better if Woody Allen himself were in the film, however by this time he is much too old to play the role.

Will Ferrell simple can't deliver the classic lines like Woody can. Probably the lowest quality Woody Allen film I've seen for those reasons alone. Overall 2.5/4 Stars Grade = C.
