Review of Melancholia (2011) by Robert L — 01 Nov 2015
Not sure exactly what this was supposed to be about. A study of Depression? Of Nihilism? Acting was good. Music in minor key throughout the film was grating after a time. Editing seemed either poorly done (or odd choices were being made) which I found distracting.
It's the end of the world and we get to "enjoy" it with some misbehaving bourgeois folk suffering from depression and anxiety. I guess I was supposed to feel sad? Maybe a little. But mostly I just didn't care about these people.
