Review of Melancholia (2011) by Jared C — 27 Oct 2012
I found the sory line to be incredibly metaphorical, considering the planet supposedly headed for a collision with Earth is called Melancholia and the main character (Kirsten Dunst) is clinically depressed.
I found the second half of the movie to be much more interesting than the first especially considering Trier's intent to make a film about how people react to an impending disaster (of course, that movie has been made a dew times - ever seen "When Worlds Collide?").
Art house production lovers will laud this film. The rest of us mortals will just be bored.
