Review of Megamind (2010) by Amanda C — 21 Dec 2014
A much better film than advertised, Megamind is for the most part, a lot of fun. It loses its way a bit as the film goes on due to the need to make the villain Megamind into the hero of the piece. It does make great use of the voice actors star personas, poking fun at their public image, which will be right over the kid's heads, but is fun for the adults.
Unfortunately, Tina Fey's Roxanne is designed to fool you into thinking she's more than just a damsel in distress and it's all kinds of disappointing when this turns out to not be the case.
All in all, however, Megamind is an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two.
