Megamind is pretty mature?

Yup thats right Megamind is aimed at kids but has a pretty mature storyline. The film is about a villian called Megamind going against Metroman. Pretty early in the film Megamind acheives something that could make the Joker from Batman possibly shed a tear. Its a pretty dark tale with some awesome humor. The storyline while a little hard to imagine at first does the whole villian thing pretty well. The action is pretty well made. Even though it copies from other greats like The Incredibles it does away with it enough to be original. Will Farrell as always gives and excellent performance. Brad Pitt is really good at voicing Metroman giving him the right amount of bravado without making him annoying. Why the four stars? Dreamworks could have been the first one to do an animated adult themed film. We don't need sex or anything but raise the stakes. Make the journey that much more personal. That would have been intresting to see. All in all its a film that can contend with some of Pixars greats.
