Review of Megamind (2010) by Bryan K — 06 Dec 2012
From the film's outset, seeing a young Megamind being taught cops are bad by prison inmates to deciding his life goal was robe bad, it is clear that this film is hardly going to take itself seriously.
Fortunately, it is spot on tone wise. Ferrell is excellent as the voice of the villain, coming off as both spontaneous and scatter-brained. The never-ending tongue in cheek makes what is really a generic plot fast paced and humorous.
Brad Pitt's role as a wannabe musician superhero is almost worth the price of admission alone.
