Review of Megamind (2010) by Seth S — 13 Jul 2012
It's fun and decent. I laughed a few times and chuckled a few more. But one thing about it is that it is so darn forgettable. You see it, you enjoy it, then you forget it.
The story is of two aliens who both wind up on Earth. One is Megamind, he turns out bad. The other one is Metro Man, he turns out good. They grow up to become superhero and supervillain. But when Metro Man "dies" Megamind has control of the city. But he finds being a villain is funnier than being a leader. When a new evil force rises, Megamind must assume the role of the hero to stop this villain.
Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, and Brad Pitt make up this voice cast. Ferrell and Hill seem to put more effort into their performances than the other members of the cast.
Overall, this movie is fun and forgettable, but not up to the excellence of most Dreamworks movies.
"Well maybe I don't want to be the bad guy anymore!" 6/10.
