If you go into this movie expecting what it is, your typical monster movie, you won't be disappointed. If you go into it expecting a horror film, an Oscar winner, or your next favorite movie, you've come to the wrong place.

By and large this film is pretty darn good, but I'm biased towards monster and horror films. The effects are typical, but acceptable, for a low budget film, better than in some movies I could name.

The storyline involves two prehistoric killer sea creatures, a huge shark and an equally huge octopus, both caught mid-combat by the ice age, frozen solid for millions of years. An accident occurs, cracking the ice and freeing the creatures, who at first head in opposite directions, but inevitably, with some help by our heroes, find their way back to each other for their predictable combat sequence but not without wrecking havoc on vessels and bridges across the world.

Lorenzo Lamas and Deborah Gibson comprise two of the lead roles (yes I know, but don't give up on it just yet), playing both sides of the coin, one to destroy the creatures and the other to attempt to capture and contain them.

My only real problem with this movie was that I would have liked to have seen a very concrete and clear winner, however as you'll see by the time it's over, this doesn't happen and your actually left without truely knowing which, if not both, are dead, however with no leadup to a sequel at all.
