Review of Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus (2010) by Martin B — 18 Jan 2011
Oh my God, there's a sequel to the epic "Mega Shark vs. The Giant octopus"....
In this adventure Mega shark gets acquainted with Crocosaurus, one giant prehistoric reptile croc of very the same proportions as Megalodon himself.
But they don't get along at all. The giant croc finds daylight again in a diamond mine in Congo and introduces himself by eating no more than 34 diamond mine workers the very first day after his long sleep. Then she swims to cuba and eats lonely fishermen at the cliffs.
We're not given any more clues about the origin of the croc at all, we're just slammed with action and a lot of studio material featuring people looking at radars in what is supposed to be command panels in war ships.
Compared to the previous movie, thjs one have even lousier acting and even worse script. No one of the previous cast takes a role in this one and it's even a bit boring here and there.
It does do produce some highlights. Angry croc eating killer whales at Orlando zoo being one of them for example. But the first movie had some b-movie charm and cute stupifity, which this one lacks of.
