Review of Meeting Evil (2012) by Darren H — 11 Apr 2014
You and me, we're in this thing together.
John Felton is a down on his luck real estate agent that has nothing in savings, all his credit cards maxed out and overdue, and his wife is cheating on him. Making matters worse, he lost his job. His wife can't take it anymore and goes for a ride with their two kids. A strange man named Richie knocks on John's door and changes his life forever.
"All I do is kill people that are already dead.".
Chris Fisher, director of S. Darko, Street Kings 2: Motor City, Nightstalker, Dirty, and Rampage: The Hillside Strangler Murders, delivers Meeting Evil. The storyline for this picture is fairly straightforward and predictable. Some of the lines are witty and some are just cliché Samuel L. Jackson. The acting is okay and also includes Luke Wilson, Bret Roberts, Tracie Thoms, Muse Watson, and Leslie Bibb,.
"I'm not afraid of you.".
"You ought to be.".
I grabbed this movie off Netflix because it seemed to have an interesting plot. Unfortunately, this was more straightforward than I anticipated and I was hoping for more random acts of violence. Overall, this was an above average action genre that is only worth seeing once but not worth adding to your DVD collection.
"This bitch is a fuck beast.".
Grade: C+.
