Sometimes funny, often not. The product placement was annoying. The pit scene was drawn out too long. The Blue Screen bits were too self-aware. It would have been funnier if there were people in Sparta who LOOKED like Britney, K-Fed, etc.

, rather than populating ancient Greece with their actual dopplegangers, but that illustrates how un-creative the directors were here. The dance-off was hillarious. The video game scene, not so much. More social commentary on the Spartan culture and less cell phone gabbing would have made this a lot more entertaining, but one could hardly have expected a cerebral spoof from a Hollywood out to make a quick buck rather than make a real statement.
