Review of Meet the Small Potatoes (2013) by Bailey R — 15 Feb 2017
Meet the Small Potatoes is an amazing documentary about 4 gender neutral potatoes who miraculously defeat all odds by wearing tap shoes. They travel the world with their almost illegal copyrighted Beatles music and drop some shit in India.
HOWEVER the class system of potatoes and humans is a political symbolism for the modern era's racial divide. It's truely thought provocating, I showed it to my kids in my civ class I teach and they saw cannibalism in the 21st century and body shaming.
Their music inspired many a students smoke some dope whilst the film was showing. My netix account has never had the pleasure of playing such a remarkable film. It's light years better than A Beautiful Mind and Captain Phillips.
