Review of Meet the Robinsons (2007) by Sebastian O — 14 Jun 2014
The dialogue in this film is among the worst in terms of Disney animated features. They try too hard to come up with gags, and they're extremely juvenile. The only audience the jokes would work for would be toddlers who wouldn't understand the time travel plot anyway.
Nevertheless, "Meet the Robinsons"' ending was quite endearing, and the plot twist was unexpected. However, it only starts getting bearable in the final act, so if you're willing to wait that long, go for it.
Also, unlike the common opinion, I hated the film's animation. It was a tad creepy, as if they were trying to avoid making it look cartoony like Chicken Little, but unable to reach Pixar's standards.
One silver lining, the villain was awesome, in spite of, again, the terrible dialogue he had to succumb to.
