Meet The Robinsons is kind of like a Back to the Future for the Disney audience with a touch of Annie. It boosts amazing visuals and a well crafted, but unoriginal, story. It is mediocre, however, in it's characterization.
Now, Disney is known for making films that get better with age and while Robinsons is definitely likable, it is NOT, by any means, timeless.
Overall, I would say this movie isn't bad on it's own, but compared to many other Disney films, it is a lackluster attempt. I mean, MtR's heart is in the right place and it boosts some beautiful animation and some wonderful frenzied pacing. But it is shallow and lacks memorable characters. Decent, but nothing groundbreaking.
