Review of Meet the Mormons (2014) by Adam V — 27 Sep 2014
As you read the reviews you will see many faithful Mormons trying to convince you this is a great movie....it is not. It is a public relations piece attempting to convince the audience that Mormons are normal people and not weird at all.
If you have seen the "I am a Mormon Campaign videos on Youtube...then you will understand what this movie is like....but it is much longer. If you are a LDS you will love it and pat yourself on the back on how normal the movie makes Mormons appear.
If you are not a Mormon you are going to realize you have just spent $10 on an hour and 18 minute long commercial for the Mormon church. If you think it is obnoxious to have mormon missionaries knocking on your door or calling you then you are really going to regret seeing this movie.
While it is sweet in the message that the people in the movie are good nice folk...the creepiness will sink in that they feel the need to make a movie about it and charge you for it. Save your money and see something that is not a recruiting tool for the Mormon church.
