Review of Meet the Mormons (2014) by Bishop S — 10 Oct 2014
All the professional critics completely missed the point of the movie. They gave it poor reviews solely and consistently on the grounds that it did not discuss "doctrine", "the history", or LGBT issues. None of them could see that it was not the point as they were blinded solely by their expectations and hope for some controversy. They can get that on PBS American Experience or from so many other films and documentaries.
The point of the film was simply to meet mormon people and breakdown so many of the ridiculous stereotypes and misconceptions about the PEOPLE not the Doctrine.
It was beautiful and heartwarming.
