Review of Meet the Mormons (2014) by Julee C — 13 Oct 2014
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed the film. I loved how it wasn't controversial, but rather showed that even Mormons are family oriented, care about those around them, and are really just doing their best just like everyone else. There is a reason they (the Mormons) want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, it's not because they think everyone who doesn't believe is bad, but that their is an actual plan for their lives, there is a reason you're here on earth, you came from somewhere before you came here, and there is a destination after this life. This film doesn't get into all of this, but it shows how the Spirit of God touches their lives and how great things can happen when we seek and follow those feelings and thoughts. I think they didn't get into some of the other misconceptions because why give light to things that aren't true...look at what it actually is, not what you think or heard it is :).
Plus all proceeds go to American Red Cross...give it a chance!
