Review of Meet the Mormons (2014) by Marta H — 13 Oct 2014
Many people today look for sexy, violent, dramatic, graphic, and shocking entertainment. Professional critics want to hear more arguments, more controversy, more advertising. The truth is, Mormons aren't out to preach your ears off, so they made a movie that just helps you to understand who they are.
They aren't willing to bash other religions, or strike back at those who mock or attack their faith, and they will not judge you if you violate the moral and doctrinal laws which they follow. No, the Mormons just want to hand out hope.
They made a movie about REAL people who live REAL lives and pursue POSITIVE goals. In return, they ask people to watch, and then they have chosen to hand over all proceeds to the Red Cross. But hey, I'm sure your money and time are better spent watching another horror film.
