Review of Meet the Mormons (2014) by Michael R — 13 Oct 2014
Not sure why some of the critics are complaining that it had nothing to do with mormon doctrine...because it wasn't supposed to. That wasn't the purpose of the film. The purpose was to tell the story about a few mormons in order to show that mormons believe in Christ and let him guide their lives like other Christians. It wasn't supposed to be about the doctrine of the LDS church. (Furthermore, had it been preachy and discussed the doctrine, critics would have been relentless in attacks that it was just a "recruitment" film. I personally am glad it wasn't.).
It was better than I expected, definitely not preachy. It was inspiring and I left wanting to be a better person.
