Review of Meet the Mormons (2014) by Linda B — 13 Oct 2014
If you were to change the name of the movie to "Meet the (fill in the blank)" it would be the same. This is a production about good people...period. It has little to do with Mormonism and the same movie could be completely replicated if you picked out good people from practically any faith.
The stories are mildly interesting while at the same time unsatisfying to what viewers want learn about, you know, like what makes Mormons and Mormonism unique, not what makes them look like everyone else.
This movie is obviously made to reinforce Mormons view of themselves as "normal" and I believe most of the LDS faithful will enjoy it. If you're not Mormon, wait til one of their missionaries stop by and knock on your door. I'm sure they'll have a copy, and you can watch it for free.
