The point of this film was to let the world know that Mormons are just like everyone else and that we all have a lot in common as people in general. There are a lot of made up beliefs about the Mormons and I think it was just letting the world know that this is who we are as people in general.
People say that the movie didnt show the Mormon culture when in reality, surprise! it did. Thats the culture. Being nice and trying to become like Jesus Christ. It truly is a wonderful and touching movie.
