My wife and I just saw this film and loved it. It is moving, inspiring and yes, upbeat. Critics who trash it are expecting it to be something it isn't meant to be. It is not about LDS church history or doctrine, It is about people and the impact being a member of the Church has been in their lives.
To that end we give it a big thumbs up.
