I think the movie intends to help people understand that mormons just want to be a positive force in the world and help the people around to enjoy the same happiness that they enjoy in their personal lifes.

I'm a mormon myself and the movie does reflect what my religion has done for me. I'm a happy person and i'm grateful for that. That's what being a mormon it's about! That's the reason why this movie is awesome.
