Sick, twisted, incredibly well-made, Peter Jackson's Meet the Feebles is the pinacle of puppet gross-out comedy. At any one moment the film can be unfathomably icky, clever to the extreme and (dare I say) touching. Much evil genius went in this creation. I recommend it.
On a side note, the DVD looks like it was ripped straight from VHS. From a Peter Jackson film, I expect nothing less than a 5 disc director's cut of the film that adds an hour to the running time. Come on, Pete, where's it at?
