Disgustingly vile- & -vulgar, twistedly-tasteless, outlandishly-odious, reprehensibly-rotten, disarmingly- depraved- &- disturbed, wickedly-warped, absolutely- abhorrent, ruthlessly-risible, unapologetically- &- unconscionably foul -&- fetid Freak-Show that seems to have been made simply to trot out every societal taboo (Aids, heavy drug use, murder, pornography, racism, homosexuality, graphic violence, rape, rampant greed, coprophilia, ethnic stereotyping, torture, eating disorders, drug overdoses, war crimes, sexual perversion, ad nauseum.

..,) & revels in showing them in all their nasty, grotesque glory!!---and did I mention it's FRIGGIN' GREAT? All of this from the thinnest-of-storylines, a viciously spot-on parody of "The Muppet Show", detailing the sociopathic backstage antics of a troupe of extremely disfunctional puppet-animals as they try to ready their production for Opening Night.

While certainly not for the squeamish, & DEFINITELY NOT for children, this HAS to be seen to be believed! Back before Peter Jackson became the "Toast of the Town", with his Family-Friendly Fare--he was an audacious auteur with some subversive sensibilities, & this is only one of the three of his magically mirthful movies ( The others being "Bad Taste" & "Dead Alive"-) that explored these baser concepts to their fullest.

Return to your roots, Pete!! (I apologize for all the alliteration---it's like a drug to me!!).
