Review of Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) by Arthur B — 12 Apr 2008
The story of a St. Louis family plays out in four seasons as the offspring balance their burgeoning lives and the turmoil brought about by the family's imminent move from their home town to comparatively impersonal New York.
The period appears to me to be richly evoked and its action is merrily moved along by the musical numbers.
