Review of Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) by Lindsay P — 28 Jul 2008
I finally catched this movie on TV the other day and decided I was gonna give it a try. I like old classic movies but I wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to enjoy this. I have seen Judy Garland on The Wizard of Oz and trust me, I don't love!! Here though, she gives a great performance, her singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is probably my favorite scene of the film and probably one of my favorite versions of the song EVER! I also loved the whole Halloween scene where the kids are "killing" people, it was so dark yet sweet at the same time.
I loved all the songs, the performances, and though the plot was kinda pointless it was all so well-done I just can't help but adoring it.
