Brings back the memory of slower times-- and a great portrayal of a REAL family. Judy's Esther is likable enough(love how she sings her heart out in "Trolley Song") but it's really Tootie that steals the show.

It's heart breaking to see her crying in the Christmas Eve scene. Tom Drake does a pretty good job at awkwardness as new boy on the block as well- although it would have been interesting to see how Van Johnson did it.
