Review of Meet Joe Black (1998) by R H — 15 May 2012
This is not a great movie. You could cite a dozen flaws and I would probably agree with all of them. But, I just loved this movie. It's long, yet I was never bored. Pitt's performance, as Death, is uneven, sometimes missing the mark, but sometimes brilliantly hitting it.
Hopkins does a fine job, and Claire Forlani is enchantingly wonderful as Hopkin's daughter, and Pitt's love interest.
