God it's long and slow. It's as if the writer just couldn't edit anything and tried to tell everything in one film. He tries to make death a sympathetic caracter; make a rich, white, english millionaire someone we root for to find redemption; tell a very akward love story.

.. and yet, there is still something very epic to this very human story. It does give you the time to think about its themes while you watch it. It's as if your life gets to slow down as you watch it.

Quite the trick... but it takes a while to get you, until then, God it's long and slow...
