For a film that's basically attempting to serve as an almost real-time history class video, it's decidedly phony. I never once believed it was anything other than actors playing dress-up in a self-important art house snooze-fest.
At least in the Oregon Trail game, people die of syphilis. This film could have used a quality STD.
