Review of Meek's Cutoff (2011) by Jeff W — 29 Nov 2011
Meek's Cutoff has authenticity on its side. It also doesn't muddy the storyline. Its straightforward portrayal of life on the frontier - complete with its banalities, struggles, and surprises - can be engrossing to a point and frustrating at times.
I do love to see Reichardt and Williams working together again, but I much prefer Wendy & Lucy.
