I love Reichardt's direction in letting the atmosphere portray everything and staying out of the way of any forced character drama or plot. The film does wear it's welcome out I think and doesn't gain much interest as it progresses but is still a fascinating 70s throwback Western and exercise in minimalism which is rare in this genre.
