Review of Medicine Man (1992) by Keith M — 22 May 2010

The final movie that I have not seen from director John McTiernan. This big budget film about a man who finds the cure for cancer has a charm to it. The village natives are great and Sean Connery has a great performance.

I was trying to figure out what makes this film criticized. I find maybe the ending is not satisfying or that the idea of making a film about cancer has a certain distastefulness. Personally it is not the best film by John McTiernan because he made rollerball.

I felt it might be too depressing but also the message of the rain forest being preserved in something important for us to understand.
