Review of Medicine Man (1992) by Peter N — 04 Aug 2012
The best part of Medicine Man is the soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith. Apart from that, it ends up being a less-than-mediocre and downright boring film. For being such an acclaimed actor, having appeared in numerous movie classics, Sean Connery has also had his fair share of duds.
In this one, it doesn't even seem like he cares. It's apparent who the bad guys are as supposed to be, opposed to those noble researchers fighting for preservation in the name of science, but the film never gives the viewer any reason to really care.
There's a small sense of style evoked by director John McTiernan, but nothing can prevent it from being a bland and forgettable film.
