Review of Medea (1969) by Y'ng Y — 01 Dec 2010
Inevitable comparisons with the incredible companion piece, Pasolini's Oedipus Rex, arises and Medea is by far inferior. There is a sense of something missing.. not just in the narrative which is intended to be elliptical.
. it hovers just a little above average, and the tragic tone only strikes an emotional chord in the final moments.
