Review of Mechanic: Resurrection (2016) by Randolph B — 18 Mar 2017
I had low expectations for this movie, but left the theater pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, other RTr's don't feel the same. Listen, was dragged in to watch Expendables by a friend and those movies were tiresome, but by the time this movie came around I was dying for one. My life was shit and I needed a picker-uppper were some guy in a similar situation just takes charges and beats the crap out of everyone without regrets or apologies. You know what we wish we all could do.
It picked up kind of slow, but about half-way through it's non-stop action. My only regret was there was a perfect opportunity for a kill-line on the uber-villain, bad-guy behind it all, and Arthur Bishop (Stathom) misses the chance to say a cheesy kill-line, a la Swartzenegger or Stallone in the 80s and 90s.
