Review of Mechanic: Resurrection (2016) by Eldon O — 01 Oct 2016
This movie is a bit odd in that it is more like 4 short stories strung together than one complete story. It also had a strange acting mix. Many of the bits parts and villains were played by much weaker actors. In fact, Tommy Lee Jones seems to be the most out of place in this movie and used to the least effect. As a result many scenes didn't work well, or seemed to be one sided in their authenticity realism.
Also as each assassination was setup, the logic of how everything was achieved was skipped sometimes, leaving you wondering how that was done or how something worked. So instead only the highlights are sometimes shown when it would have been better to reduce the number of assassinations and show more detail and interaction with the main characters. Finally there is really no explanation as to why the final job was treated differently,.
