Review of Meatballs (1979) by Tim P — 19 Sep 2008
Every hoary cliche is trotted out and then flogged to death. The characters are so two-dimensional, they may as well have been played by cardboard cut-outs. Also, the screechy-kid sing-a-long theme is excruciating.
I'm giving it one star for Bill Murray who at least managed a couple of good lines, (based on the rest of the script, I'm guessing they were improvised).
