Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Gabe M — 07 May 2009
One of Scorsese's earliest pictures, Mean Streets laid the groundwork for all of the movies which would follow. Completely unique usage of music, camerawork and editing that has been carried on through the decades by Marty.
Typical Catholic and moralistic underpinnings throughout. Great film, really a classic for this genre. Definitely worth a look.
