Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Simon D — 06 Aug 2011
This scorsese mob movies is a little dirtier than most. A lot are about very rich gangsters running their mafia but this time, it's similar but in a grimey world where a good night is robbing kids of 20 bucks and celebrating at the movies.
Robert de Niro was pretty young in this and you can tell why he went on to become a legend. I reckon Liam Gallagher stole his image from this film. Good film with strong characters.
